Chiropractor Nancy Edington, D.C.
Dr. Nancy Edington is a holistic family chiropractor, who graduated Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University College of Chiropractic in Marietta, GA in September of 2012. It is from her passion for life-long learning and spiritual conviction that she went back to school after living and working for 25 years in the heart of New York City and surviving the World Trade Center bombing tragedy. She believes that she was called to the profession of Chiropractic to serve humanity from a place of higher purpose.
She trusts that the body can heal itself under the right conditions and that a “chiropractic lifestyle” dynamically and dramatically benefits one’s quality of life.
She also received a nutritional coaching certificate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition of NY. She also has received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI and her Master of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI which enhances her sensitivity to the human psycho-somatic/mind-body connection. She continues her pursuit of knowledge and life-learning.
Dr. Nancy received extensive hands-on clinical chiropractic training and experience, involving numerous chiropractic techniques, functional neurology, functional nutrition and biochemical diagnostics. She has achieved Advanced Proficiency in Activator technique, which is safe and effective for people of all ages, from new born children to the elderly. She has been on chiropractic mission trips in El Salvador, where she had the opportunity to provide chiropractic care. In particular, she has helped many women and men in these rural communities with frozen shoulder conditions, neck pain, back pain and pain from dysfunctional hips and knees. She plans to continue to bring her skills to serve and care for people around the world.
Her patient base has been wide-ranging from children with developmental disorders to adults and elderly seeking to improve their health regardless of pain and optimize their lifestyles.
As of December 2014, Dr. Nancy is Webster certified for prenatal care and can provide care for mom’s-to-be and newborns.
